Making his start in the music industry at just 16 years old, Sam de Jong learnt his trade as the creative force behind award-winning gospel outfit Parachute Band. With Sam at the helm as music director, producer and drummer from 2006 to 2013, the band went on to win several NZ Music Awards, toured extensively in 6 continents, and sold thousands of albums worldwide.

He has toured as live drummer for a host of other international acts including Grammy nominated British pop-rock outfit Delirious, Ginny Blackmore & Ruby Frost.

In the studio Sam is as multi-disciplined as a Swiss Army Knife, comfortable wearing the hat of producer, engineer, drummer or songwriter.

His production and songwriting talent has been leant to a vast array of artists in the last few years including NZ’s hometown hero Stan Walker, Ruby Frost, Benny Tipene (including #1 NZ Radio Airplay single “Make You Mine”, and debut EP “Toulouse” which reached #4 on the NZ Top 40), Loui the Zu, Massad, Ezra Vine, and Sons Of Zion, as well as producing the platinum selling debut album for 2013 X Factor NZ winner Jackie Thomas and producing Ginny Blackmore's hit 'Love Me Anyway'.
